Welcome to St. Theresa's. Term 2 is already up and running and it promises to be both busy and exciting for all of us. We are all looking forward to beginning the term with grade 5/6 camp in the first week and then continuing our preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation in May. Enrolments for 2013 open on May 14th and we look forward to meeting many new families in our enrolment process. If you are considering applying for a place for your child in 2013 then it would be great to see you at our information evening on Wednesday May 23rd at 7.30 pm. Please be aware that our applications close on Wednesday June 13th. St. Theresa's is only a small school but there is a fantastic spirit present here that makes it a pleasure to come to school. I am sure that our community will continue to grow into a supportive one which has people at its heart. This term we are all looking forward to continuing on our learning journey as a school. Teachers and students alike will continue to learn together and develop in our understanding of our faith and exploring new avenues of learning. We look forward to working alongside every parent and family as we combine to enrich the lives of all in our community and provide the very best learning opportunities for all. We are working hard to enhance the physical learning environment at St. Theresa's at the moment and we are allocating considerable funds to landscaping which will change our yard spaces considerably and add to the diverstiy of learning situations that we can offer. We look forward to many changes over the next 11 weeks. I invite the community to walk with us and be a part of this learning journey during 2012. I welcome prospective famiies to contact the school and find out what makes us such a great place to be. Rob Costin Principal |
Kinda Kinder on Tuesdays
Kinda Kinder is a preschool activity and play group which we run at the school every Tuesday morning from 9.00am – 10.00am. The program is open to any pre school children of any age and children do not need to be from existing families at our school. There is no charge for this program. The program is facilitated by student teachers from Victoria University and is overseen by us at the school. If you have a pre- school child or know of any who might be interested, please come along and join us.
At St.Theresa’s we strive to create a community where people matter. Learning is valued and is promoted in a fun, positive and challenging way. It is important that the education we offer develops the children as independent responsible learners. We believe it is essential to share our Catholic faith and traditions in such a way that all experience a sense of belonging.
Our school values individuals, education, the community and the Catholic faith.
