Principal's Message

Welcome to St. Theresa’s website.

2021 is a year of hope for all of us after a very difficult and challenging year last year.

Last year’s experiences with remote learning was hard for most of us and we are looking forward to returning to a normal experience of school where our social interactions can further strengthen the cornerstone of our school, the strong relationships that we share.

St Theresa's Parish established our school in 1951 and since that time the Parish and its school have been well known for its strong community focus and its service to the people of Albion.

In times past the Sisters of St Joseph staffed our school and The Brigidine Order was also associated with it. The influence of these dedicated Religious women still very much permeates the culture of our school.

From the beginning of 2021 the school transitioned from being owned and operated by our Parish to being owned and operated by Melbourne Archdiocesan Catholic Schools Ltd (MACS). We are still very much a part of the missionary work of St Theresa’s Parish however the transition changes the school’s governance structure.

Our school is very diverse culturally with 25 different nationalities represented among our students who are the friendliest children I have ever met.

The school offers a comprehensive, inclusive education that is contemporary and innovative. Our facilities and resources support our programs well and we are always working to improve our endeavours and provide our community with the best learning environment possible.

We have a team of very dedicated staff members who have a deep commitment to the school and its families and who view the family/school partnership as integral to everything that they do. I feel privileged to belong to a staff that has the wellbeing and safety of their students and a commitment to a christian view of the person as their priority.

Our families likewise have a very strong commitment to our school and support it very well in a variety of ways and we hope all of our community members find this website a valuable resource.

The strong community culture of St.Theresa's is a hallmark of our school.

We are very proud of our school and we welcome enrolment enquiries. Please feel free to contact me if you want to know more about our school otherwise I hope you find this website useful and valuable.

All the best

Robert Macklin
